I ran the slightly modified India 60 miles last evening.

This had the semi-balloon tyres, and lighter front wheel braking, and entirely less fierce braking.

After increasing the effectiveness of the front shock dampers, and weakening the low speed jet, I was charmed with the comfort and performance of this car.

The gearbox, which has caused us considerable trouble, is now I believe the best gearbox that we have ever fitted to a car. In the few times I had to change gear, and in start starting and stopping, I was extremely delighted with its control. The sliding reverse and the general handling of the change speed lever was extremely nice, and the gears very satisfactory for silence.
