Y4021 c. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. Rg.{Mr Rowledge} c. Ry. EFC3/T. 1st April, 1927. Messrs. North & Sons, Watford. For the attention of Mr. R.B.North. Dear Sirs, Watford Aero Magnetos type IS.12. When you visited these Works and discussed the matter of these magnetos with us in Mr. Rowledge's office, it was understood that you would arrange to discuss the position with Col. Fell of the Air Ministry. We have not yet heard the result of such discussion and as far as we can see the position is no further than it was at the time of our meeting. In the meanwhile I addressed a memo. EFC2/T. 29.3.27, copy of which I attach, to Mr. Wilkins of the A.I.D. here, and I attach also copy of his reply. It appears to me that the position from your point of view cannot be very satisfactory, and should like to hear from you in this connection, as we ourselves are anxious to assist you in any way we can in the matter of these machines. At the moment I am afraid we have got to admit that much more satisfaction is being obtained from other machines.of another make. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
