Dear Fedden,

re Bentley Car.

Many thanks for your letter of the 16th, ENGINES.F/HCM/BHC/100, and for cheque, an official receipt for which will follow in due course.

With regard to the car I do not know quite what you mean by new pistons to increase performance, but am asking Derby.

In regard to the front wings I gather from your letter that, whether or not we succeed in eliminating the squeak for use with cycle type wings, you would prefer not to run any risks but scrap them and have the new wings.

This seems rather a pity in a way but it is for you to decide.

I note that you are sending the car to Derby on the 29th and that Mr.Robotham will be keeping it for about a week, after which it is to go straight to Park Ward's.

I have made enquiries but am sorry that we have no car available that we could lend you.

Yours sincerely,

(A.F.Sidgreaves)
