W.III NO.1.

Continue with bore wear tests on liner engine, subsequent runs dependent on wear obtained.

A dynamo coupling has been made to SCD.804 which has increased diameter of coupling rubbers to give more flexibility.

Check torque-movement curve of above before fitting to unit.

Fit torsion shaft to camshaft and check with .015 slack camwheel.

(a) Old standard 65 durometer rubbers.
(b) New " 35 " "
(c) New coupling.

NO.2 TEST HOUSE.

B.II. No.4 UNIT.

Unit as fitted with .25 Chrome cylinder block compare
(a) Standard Aerolite pistons.
(b) Standard R.R. split skirt.
(c) Non flute T slot Aerolite pistons.
(d) T slot pistons are ground by Aerolite but produced from R.R. casting.

Comparison should consist of bore wear, oil consumption and power.

Same piston rings should be retained for all types of pistons and fitted in the same position as removed.

Running with pistons b, c, and d should be of same duration and conditions as (a).
