S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}..from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Worx Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 81761. PN.{Mr Northey}11/WT9.6.31. In connection with our new Continental Trials car (Chassis 31-GX) being finished by Park Ward, the question arises as to the provision of discs for the wheels. By not carrying 5 discs we should be saved the weight of half-cwt, which of course is all to the good from the point of view of acceleration, but I would like to know whether you have any information as to what extent, if any, the absence of discs and wire wheels will affect extreme speeds. I can imagine it might make quite an appreciable difference. Have you made any test bearing on this point ? PN.{Mr Northey} [STAMP] RECEIVED 10 JUN 1931 | ||
