G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} W. Hancock, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. rs{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}200. To GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/W.27.3.30. Running with the valves lifted increases air intake temperature, etc. We have been unable to get any sign of valves burning on the test bed or of preignition. We should like you to try every type of French petrol you can get and see if some are worse than others for detonations. I shall arrive at Le Bourget on Monday afternoon about 4 pm. I expect, with the new exhaust parts. Will you please meet me there unless I wire you to the contrary. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
