TO B.J. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL R1/M26.11.26. 10-EX. - BLUE SEMI-SPORTS CAR. X8797 I understand from your memo. BJ1l/E251126., (to R.{Sir Henry Royce} only,) that you agree we should spend a small amount of time and money to improve the car 10-EX., with a view to developing the power and speed of our Phantom. What we propose to do is - (1) Get Barkers (as agreed by Mr. Nutt) to make the addit- ional improvement to the wings, and rear, of the above car. (2) To put in the lighter engine (with anti-detonating aluminium cylinder block) and improved induction system. (3) Perhaps a slightly higher back axle gear - 18/52 instead of 17/52. (4) To be available for use about May 27. 1927. No. (2) we should be doing anyway, and we think (1) and (3) will be worth their cost. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
