(1) Fill radiator to steam pipes at 95°C then extract 6 cu.ins. of water. Run five miles 40 - 50 miles per hour third with water at 90°C and note quantity lost. Fill as before. Repeat test with water at 95°C and again note loss, taking care in each case not to let the water boil, by opening the shutters before the end of the run. (2)a.{Mr Adams} Fill up car and raise temperature to 95° in the shop to ensure that all water is going to be lost by expansion will pass over before commencement of test. Then run car bailing for five miles on the road, 40 - 50 miles per hour. Note quantity of water lost. b. Fill up car to steam pipes and raise temperature to 95°C again stationary. Then remove from radiator the quantity of water lost in test 2 (a) less 6 cu. ins. of water. Repeat five mile run at 40 - 50 miles per hour in 3rd. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
