Dear Hall, Thank you for your letter of March 7th. I am afraid there is little doubt that your M.G. Sump has been scrapped. I had no idea that you were likely to require it again. It lay about the office for 9 months and then I believe I gave somebody permission to get rid of it. I am tied up on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, so perhaps Friday would be the best day. If you come down will you lunch with us at Duffield ? I believe there is an outstanding item in the bill the Company have sent to you with regard to a pair of standard headlamp brackets. They have headed this wrongly, it should be a cross member between the headlamps. This was fitted to steady the lamps during racing and should be a definite asset for touring purposes. As it is not a very big item I suggest you pay it. Actually we have had a lot of arguments with the Accounts people as to their proposed charges on various points, and in the process our reputations have suffered somewhat severely, but I think you have been saved a lot of trouble. Yours sincerely, | ||
