CC4128 To SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG20.11.24. *PROTECTOMOTOR* x2768 Owing to the fact that we have not a single air inlet on our carburetters and take air in through the extra air valve and through an air inlet, it is not practicable to fit this cleaning device without altering the design of the carburetter. We have seen the results of tests in U.S.A. with these devices. We have heard from Springfield that they have considered fitting them but they find it is not practicable and they do not consider the advantages derived warrant changing our design of carburetter.
