Re: "Protectomotor".

Yesterday afternoon, I had a call from Mr. Vokes, who runs the 'Folberth' windscreen wiper, with a Representative of the 'Protectomotor'.

The enclosed pamphlets will be self-explanatory and they are prepared to supply us with one for testing.

He showed me the confidential report of the American War Department test, in which they ran two new Engines on the test bench for the equivalent of 3000 miles on the road, both taking their air through a dust box, but one fitted with a 'Protectomotor' and the other without.

The engines were subsequently dismantled and whilst the one run without the 'Protectomotor' was so badly worn as to render it impossible to start the engine by cranking, the other one was in practically perfect condition.

The parts of the two engines were all measured up and photographed - and the differences certainly were very extraordinary.

The object of this memo is to ascertain whether you are interested in testing this device - and if so, whether a sample one should be sent to you or to 'W'.
