Re. 20-HP. Chassis No.GA.39 - Neal.
-------------------------

On the 4th. instant we received a telephone message to the effect that the dynamo on this car had failed, and we were requested to send a man to Birmingham with a new machine which we did.

The dynamo removed from the chassis has now been inspected and tested by us, and we find it faulty due to the solder having melted at the commutator connections due to excessive heat. This, we suggest, may be due to the poor bedding of the -ve brush.

However, the real evidence has gone since the brushes and the commutator have been cleaned up.

We send you this machine No.582 herewith, and shall be glad if you will have it examined, and reported on as soon as possible. When this has been done, will you please have the machine handed to Sft.{Mr Swift} for Mr.Brock to be made O.K. and put into stock to replace the new one supplied. Order No.50768.

In submitting your report will you please say who you think should bear the expenses of our man's visit to Birmingham.
