B. 3. REAR AXLE.

It will be necessary to have a gear still higher than the 4.1 to 1 we have already given you, and we have investigated the possibility of getting such a gear into the Peregrine casing. If we can have a pinion angle of about 35° it looks as though we could do so without materially altering the existing dimensions.

We send herewith N. sch. 3577. shewing a 11/41 gear, 35° pinion angle, which gives approximately 90 MPH. at 4000 RPM. of the engine.
