and we are now executing large orders for each of these three manufacturers.

Specialloid Pistons have to pass under the severest bench test conditions and we feel that the figures detailed below will be of some interest to you:-

The severest bench test in the world is arranged by the London Passenger Transport Board who stipulate that Specialloid Pistons must pass through the following power test:-

TEST: PERIOD.
1) Run under power at 1/4 to 1/2 load, 20 h.p. at 1,100 revs. per minute.........15 minutes.

2) Run under power at 3/4 load, 40 h.p. to 50 h.p. at 1,400 revs. per minute....45 minutes.

3) Run under power at full throttle to test maximum power:-
110 m.m. bore 1,700 r.p.m..........15 minutes.
100 m.m. bore 2,100 r.p.m..........

TOTAL TEST PERIOD.........................75 minutes.

Other severe bench tests to which Specialloid Pistons are subjected are as follows:-

ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT CO. LTD.

TEST: PERIOD.
Motor in from 750 - 1,700.................1 1/2 hours.
30 h.p. from 750 - 1,700.................1 1/2 hours.
40 h.p. from 1,350 - 1,700.................1 1/2 hours.
Full load - 1,000.......................1/2 hour.
" " - 1,350.......................1/2 hour.
" " - 1,500.......................1/2 hour.
" " - 1,700.......................1/2 hour.
" " - 1,900.......................1/2 hour.
" " - 2,000.......................1/2 hour.

It is noted that the Pistons passing through this test are subjected to 2,000 revs. per minute at full throttle, full load, for 30 minutes and often the oil
