X8420 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /TWD. {T. W. D???Aeith} Sft. {Mr Swift} C. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY6/H. 8.12.26. RECEIVED DAMPING OF FRONT AXLE FRONT BRAKE DRUMS TO PREVENT SQUEAKING. ------------------------------------------ We are instructed by the Experimental Dept. that N.Scheme 3298 overcomes the squeaking trouble for which the work on the front brake drums for C.Z. Series was held up. Will BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /TWD {T. W. D???Aeith} kindly issue modified brake drums to the above Scheme and instruct up at the same time the dampers. The cross steering levers which have also been held up will have to be modified by bringing them into line with the levers shown on the above N.Scheme. The sections of the levers must not be less anywhere than those on the existing levers which they are replacing. It will mean that the Works will have to re-sink the dies for the cross steering levers. We would like to know if this is going to introduce any difficulty in getting finished parts in time for C.Z. Series. We are handing Sft. {Mr Swift} herewith two blueprints of the cross steering levers to enable him to get moving on the dies quickly. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
