Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 24th April and would confirm that we are preparing a design of 5.00x18 rim suitable for the 7.00-18 tyre. Our Works at Coventry will be forwarding to you tomorrow drawings showing alternate schemes of rims with open and tubular beads, together with their respective weights. The disposition of the rim in relation to the brakedrum will be shown on your present track of 1.4" As requested, an offset well has been included. If you would advise us which type you wish to adopt, the rim could be put forward for standardisation and we should then be in a position to proceed with tooling to provide the 12 samples for which you ask.
