48260 To CJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}9/LG26.3.26. BONNET. CJ/E23.3.26 X4117 It is possible for bonnet clips to go wrong, but it is very improbable. One thing is certain, that if the bonnet clips go wrong they will remain wrong and will not right themselves. Also it has got to happen that both bonnet clips on one side fail at the same time. One bonnet clip is quite sufficient to prevent the bonnet coming off. From experience, we know it is easy to forget to fix the bonnet clips. If this happens, it is frequently not noticed until the car is travelling fast and the bonnet starts to lift. If bonnet locks are fitted, these provide an extra safety device because the locks can be so arranged that they latch as soon as the bonnet is shut. Some owners object to this because it means that they have to find the key every time they wish to open the bonnet. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
