Chassis No.3-BU-136. Sir John Leigh.
Ref.Br/G.4/M.28.5.37.

This carburettor has been tested and thoroughly inspected for flooding.

The main fault found was the finish of the float needle. This had a bad central burr on the top and was sharp enough to dig into the brass float lever and cause a temporary jam.

The burr has been removed and the top of the needle polished.

The carburettor has been assembled complete and we have taken the opportunity of sending with it a finer gauze filter, to be fitted in place of the original.

This filter is the standard 30 H.P. as taken from production, of 100 mesh instead of the Phantom III 60 mesh.

This modification is already being carried out at the works and repair dept.
