SwDL{Len H. Swindell} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/C.23.9.38. Poole c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} [REDACTED] 617 WRAITH III. DYNAMO DRIVE WITH "DYNAFLEX" COUPLING. Please receive herewith E.CD.914 Dynaflex Type Flexible Coupling for Dynamo Drive. Wraith III. This design shows an adaptation of the Dynaflex coupling supplied by the Manganese Bronze & Brass Co. Ltd., the size and shape of the rubber portion of the coupling being as shown on their drawing No. 387051 as requested by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} A modified dynamo fan and fan hub is required, and we understand there is a wooden pattern of the Phantom III dynamo fan which could be modified to produce the castings for this experiment. The steel spider coupling can be made from an existing part, as it is only slightly altered from standard. The coupling should be assembled as part of the dynamo fan with the bolts for the spider coupling in position as they cannot be assembled after the coupling is bolted to the fan. Will you please detail and instruct the parts to be tried experimentally. The design is also applicable to Bentley III and Bentley 80. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
