Page 2 as to the angle to which the connections on the 20 h.p. tank N.sch.2578 should point, as this makes a difference to the angle to which we have to set the bottom bell to make it vertical. We have received the 40/50 h.p. tank F.79192 (K.S.162), and are proceeding with our experiments. We note with regard to the Swan spirit, which seems hopeful. We have no doubt at all that we can cure the other points which you have raised with regard to this tank. We conclude that as we are at liberty to alter the tank, you will not mind our making one set of trials with the unit placed tight up against the baffle, unless we find that we get sufficient pumping under the new conditions without doing this. Re 20 h.p. N.sch.2578 (K.S.175), the writer is proceeding with tests of this tank mounted on the luggage carrier of his own car, and the results up to date are very promising.
