To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EPC. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to Ep.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} STAMP: ORIGINAL STAMP: RECEIVED [with clock face] STAMP: FC / 10.7.22. Handwritten: X.4383 DYNAMOS FOR GOSHAWK. In reply to your memo. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}1/PG5.7.22., Good. Excellent. Fine. We should allow no bakelite commutators to remain on any dynamo on any car. The starter motor is O.K. because it never gets hot enough to deteriorate the bakelite. With the mica mounting use plenty of hydraulic pressure and heat while screwing up. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
