WARWICKS.

For the attention of Mr.Barker.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our 'phone conversation of this after-noon, we would be glad if you could kindly send us particulars of the Long clutch, with centrifugal assistance, suitable for the Phantom III cars, with a torque of 350-360 lbs/ft., 4500 R.P.M. can be taken as normal maximum, although 5000 R.P.M. might be touched under abnormal conditions.

Would you kindly let us have a drawing and a curve showing the extent of the centrifugal assistance. We have in mind the 12" size, as we feel that the advantage of the lower inertia of a 12" plate might justify a higher working /u than that of the present 13½" plate.

The location of the hub in relation to the fly-wheel face would be the same as that of the 13½ plate you now supply for us.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
