Ve.6/CB.23.8.40. 40 mm. TYPE BB AUTOMATIC GUNS FOR AIRCRAFT. There seems to be some confusion as to the number of type BB guns (automatic guns for use in aircraft) which we are making. We have a contract S.53324/C for 3 such guns and no more. These are already in a semi-complete state at Sinfin. The manufacture of further 4 automatic guns has been discussed, but we have no authority or financial cover to make these guns and no work should be put in hand until further instructions are issued by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} or Myself.
