With reference to the special endless belt which Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}, has been discussing with Messrs. Ormerod & Co., we have now received from them a sample 20HP belt which is endless and jointless so far as the section is concerned. The belt in question should overcome all trouble in regard to the booming from belt drive. We would like you to put this on a 20HP chassis and give it the most severe test that you know of to see whether it will stand up to load.

From the experiments carried out so far by messrs. Ormerod with the 20HP Fan, we are of the opinion that this will stand up to our requirements.

It should be tested out in exactly the same way that we tested out the round rubber belt I recently supplied you with.

The matter is urgent and we would like special attention given to it, as if the belt is successful it will relieve us of a lot of trouble on the 40/50.
