BRISTOL.

Dear Mrs. Halliwell,

I called at Chain Lane on Sunday night and took away the cash-box containing your late husband's papers.

I have handed the box with contents to Mr. De Looze and he has promised to straighten up the affairs as soon as he can. I dare say you will be hearing from him. because Mr. Halliwell senior mentioned something about a policy in connection with the Building Society, which I was not able to trace.

Mr. Wormald, myself, and others, will be coming to the funeral on Thursday. I will return you the key of your house then.
