MARTINDALE Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c.c. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Minsy E.8/HP.9.10.36. Phantom III Brakes. Referring to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}14/E.8.10.36, I think we ought to make an effort to get the sheet metal stops on to Barclay's car. We cannot do this until we receive the Experimental report on our N.Sch.4915 issued 30/9/36. At the moment production are doing the best they can with this job by adjusting the brakes up to the nearest position that will not cause the connecting rod to rattle, and eliminating the small foul, and this is being done to Phantom III chassis at coachbuilders. We are not satisfied with this however as the maximum travel will not be obtained until the external sheet metal stops are incorporated. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
