DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

As you know we have had complaints recently from one or two Bentley owners that our tubes were being nipped by the bead toes on the tyres. Upon investigating these complaints we found that the tube had been wrinkled during the fitting and in order to make it less easy for this wrinkle to take place during fitting, we have decided to change the curl on the mandrel on which these tubes are cured with a view to making the tube a better shape so that it will fit the tyre more perfectly.

Any shipments which you will be getting from now on should be made up of tubes of the new manufacture.

I am wondering if you have any further information on the 6.00/17 tyres as if you decide to change over, we will have to provide more moulds and I would not want any delay to take place on this account.

Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,

Paul Worth.

Works Manager.
