X 3063 Re - Aluminium Camshaft Casings.

Will you kindly look into this matter and adopt the suggestions mentioned in Mr. Hives memo above referred to, that is, of deleting the grooves and holes used in the earlier design for oil drainage, and adopt the suggestion of turning the camshaft cases the same as the practice with the bronze ones, and of leave a larger radii where the stress changes take place.

It certainly seems rather inconsistent not to turn the aluminium camshaft casing, if it were found necessary to turn the bronze casings.

This confirms the instructions sent by wire.
