HARRISON RADIATOR CORPORATION SUBSIDIARY OF GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION LOCKPORT, NEW YORK X4516. June 6, 1932. Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Exp. Dept., Rolls Royce, Ltd., Derby, Derbyshire, England. Dear Sir: In your letter of March 8th to our Mr. Diall, you requested technical data showing the comparative efficiencies of the Harrison type cores which are at present manufactured in England, and the new type core which we recently sent to England, in core depths up to 4" and at air velocities through the core up to 50 M.P.H. The attached sheet will show the air flow, dissipation, temperature rise, etc. of the 3-1/4" and 4" English type cores, and test results of the particular 3-1/4" core which was sent to England recently. You will note that the 3-1/4" and 4" English type cores at 100 M.P.H. dynamic pressure have air flows of 58.8 and 53.1 M.P.H. velocity through the core, whereas the 3-1/4" new style core recently sent to England, has an air flow of 41.1 M.P.H. at 100 M.P.H. dynamic pressure. In the event this does not give you the information you desire, please do not hesitate to call upon us further. Yours very truly, HARRISON RADIATOR CORPORATION L. P. Saunders, Director of Engineering. LPS:LP{Mr Lappin} | ||
