r7360. H/S BRAKE TESTS 1.4.31. 22-EX. Car returned from fitters with standard drums and Cresswell 999W linings. Foot Pedal 5½". Front Toggles ½". 5 miles running to warm up Foot Pedal 5½". Front Toggles ½".N.S. ¼".O.S. 20 miles braking 40 - 10 every ½ mile. 6 brakes 70 - 10. Foot Pedal 5¾". Front Toggles ½.O.S. ¼".N.S. After standing about 10 minutes. Foot Pedal came up to 5½". Return run about 20 miles normal running. Foot Pedal 5¾". Front Toggles ½".O.S. ¼".N.S. 84 miles. On starting out after stop of 1½ hrs. a squeak was heard from the front shoes and this continued until the brakes were really hot. 20 miles braking 40 - 10 every ½ mile. 6 brakes 70 - 10.
