Drilling a breather hole in the Change Gear Bracket G.77500 to prevent oil leaks.

X7770, [handwritten] X7230 [handwritten] CHANGE GEAR BRACKET G.77500 ----------- We notice the breather hole has been drilled in the side of the bracket on the production cars and oil leaks out. The air vent on the experimental cars was drilled at the top with the result that no oil leaks occurred. If it is considered unsuitable to drill the hole at the top, we should recommend that it be drilled at 45° to prevent the oil leaking out readily. A baffle might be fitted to prevent the oil being flung into the tube from the gear wheels. G.W.H. | ||
