| c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} 81961 Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/MJ. 16th. March, 1934. Messrs. Lodge Plugs Ltd., Rugby. For the attention of Mr. Bernard Hopps. Dear Mr. Hopps, I tried your Bentley car yesterday and I thought it was a very nice motorcar. As regards the 'boom' we could notice this on third gear at about 60 m.p.h. but from our experience this would not be improved by the addition of a snout on the exhaust. I have had a letter from a man I know very well in Paris who actually was with Rolls-Royce for 21 years and was working in Paris for us for ten years. He has asked whether we can help him to get the agency for Lodge Plugs for France and French Colonies, and for Belgium, Spain, and Portugal. I can recommend this man very highly and I have asked him to write to you direct. His address is - W.W. Parsons, 16, Rue de General Foy, 8e (Place St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Augustin), Paris. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Expecting you to write to Parsons and tell him to write to Mr. Bernard Hopps, Lodge Plugs Ltd., Rugby. | ||
