Dear Mr. Robotham.
We are very much pleased with 12 E.X. now. and I wondered whether you could send me, in care of Conduit Str, a print of the piston, valve timing, etc, showing in what ways the engine differs from standard.
I spoke to Mr. Royce about the possibility of our raising compression etc. say to 4.25 or 4.5, to get increased power in exceptional cases, and while he was doubtful of its possibility without roughness, I am sure that he would not object to our trying it on one or two cars within the organization.
The riding seems greatly improved by whatever you have done to the front-springs & shock absorbers. I still do not think it is as good as the best we can do at Spfld. & believe if you fit the front springs we are sending you will find an improvement.
Sincerely Yours. Maurice Olley
