Our tests at Spfld. (including tests of Price's C) showed that Iso Vis. was the only oil which would give a reversible steering at 180°F.{Mr Friese} with the 1.8" worm & nut. It has just occurred to me that the axle control may be a thing which should be kept out of London. On the other hand I know that Com. Briggs would like to run this car with soft fr. springs & axle control. If you think that the car should not be left at Bruton Str (where I will move it into the back of the garage) perhaps you would wire me at Dol Coed, Drefnewyn. In such a case I will arrange to run it to Derby as originally planned. It is understood therefore that unless I hear from you to the contrary, we will drive to London on the 27th. With thanks for many favors. Sincerely yrs. Maurice Olley | ||
