HEATING OF FRONT SEATS Cont.

The Committee are of the opniion that the pressure system of ventilation for the back of the dash would be preferable to a suction system, and that some form of ventilation might be fixed to the body work, not necessarily to the chassis. The ventilator should be of such form they could be opened in Summer and closed in Winter and when closed should not form a feature of the body work.

75th Meeting Nov.15th,1911.

Re Ventilation of Floorboard.

Mr. Nadin informed the Committee that an insulated floorboard had been made, and was on test.

Mr. Platford promised to report on this later.

Re Heat in Front Seat.

Mr. Johnson read a letter which Mr. Johnson had sent in which he said he had found the small ventilators in Colonel Ruston's car were fitted under the under-side of the projection of the floor of his torpedo body and had proved to be most efficient. He had said that he did not see why these ventilators should not be fitted in addition to the dashboard ventilators.

It was suggested that this further information should be given to Mr. Spinney for his consideration.

Mr. Nadin suggested that it might be possible to have a ventilator opening where the dashboard joins the wind screen which could be opened and closed by some suitable form of shutter.
