x577 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.16/KW. 16th March, 1936. The Super Oil Seal Manufacturing Co.Ltd., River Lee Rd., Greet, Birmingham 11. For the attention of Mr. Aynes. Dear Sirs, We are returning to you the consignment of oil seals which we were examining at our Works this morning. These are to be examined by you for differences in manufacture, and to have bronze tensioning springs fitted. With regard to the question of numbering these seals, we should like your number to be on each seal: actually we have not taken out our own numbers for your seals. In future we shall consider the condition of the seal as supplied by you suitable for fitting without being soaked in oil. If there is any further information necessary to get the best results from your seal, we shall welcome it. Arrangements are being made for our metal part in contact with the seal to have a smooth finish. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
