Dear Mr. Hives,

I have developed and patented a Silencer that overcomes the difficulty of getting the heat away quickly, and at the same time completely silencing the exhaust without back-pressure. The object is to incorporate the design with up-to-date military and civilian aircraft engines. It will, of course, be of advantage to high powered internal combustion engines such as you are fitting to the Phantom lll.

Before communicating with other concerns I feel you would like to have an opportunity of experimenting.

Will you please advise me if you are interested in the project, and if so how far.

Yours truly,

J.F. Slaughter
