~~Tewkesbury~~ c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} W/K BY/CS.3/E.2.2.39. re Bentley Crankshaft Replacements. With reference to the stock of Bentley Crankshafts contained in memo' Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}, there seems to be no difficulty in the number of types to be stocked. The latest Crankshaft EB.3376. assembled with Flywheel GB.2496. will replace any Crankshaft which has been fitted on a 4 1/2 Litre Bentley. The Repair Dept. when ordering for Replacement Stock should accept Flywheels with no Timing Marking, this being added to suit the particular Series of any individual Engine. z Where shafts require re-grinding, thereby reducing the bearing diameters, batches of bearing bushes should be produced to suit these shafts in accordance with the Repair Dept's requirements. / BY/CS. | ||
