re. 179-XJ. Mertzanoff.

This customer has gone to America and we understand from Barkers that he does not wish to pay more for shock absorbers. He is delighted with the car in every way except for the springs and the thing is whether we want to go to the expense of giving him the shock absorbers in addition to the special springs.

Will you please let us know:-

(1) Approximately what it would cost us to supply these additional shock absorbers.

(2) Could we not satisfy him without putting on these special shock absorbers, at least as far as standard performance is concerned.

Please let us have this information to enable us to decide what to do.

C.
