-2- If the engine has dropped at all. With reference to the bumping on the front springs, we think that probably we have sprung 14-G4 somewhat lightly for Continental conditions, the springs being 360 lbs. instead of 700+ which is rather what we think would be desirable. Will you please measure your buffer clearance with normal load, front and rear, and let us have the figure. We also suggest that you alter your front shock absorber load until you get the required amount of damping to stop hitting the buffers and let us have the figure. The lever for altering the rear brake leverage is also being despatched today. Herewith a drawing shewing where it should be fitted. (Handwritten) We have examined the shock damper links on Won's car that have not yet grooved in the pads & find that they are quite O.K. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Of course the ordinary car does not do so many miles like that as yours. | ||
