To Mr. Wheeler (Alum Foundry). Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}2/JH.12.11.38.

A.C.9 Bearings.

8.11.38. With further reference to our memo. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/MH.{M. Huckerby}

This is to confirm that you will let us know when you hand over this material to heat treatment. We can then accordingly arrange for despatch.

Also to confirm a telephone message to your assistant, we have had an urgent call from E.R.A. Ltd. for A.C.9 material to make finished bearings to the following dimensions -

Length 2.375".
Outside dia. 2.375".
Inside dia. 2.00".

We understand this job is already in hand, by using piston dies.

Your Mr. Winter is also going to let me have a set of prints showing the dimensions of your different rings of material for bearings so that we can ourselves hunt round the works when necessary, and so not worry you so much.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}
