FAN LOP. E.53550.- We have had no trouble with the fan. The bearings are O.K. at the finish of the mileage. The fan produced a noise at medium and high speeds but is not objectionable.

SPRING DRIVE & SLIPPER WHEEL LOP. E.55105.- It has not been necessary to readjust the slipper wheel or spring drive as the thuds noticed at the beginning of the test gradually disappeared. We have not heard any engine gear rattles throughout the mileage.

MAGNETO & DYNAMO DRIVE LOP. E.54905.- The dynamo drive has been satisfactory. Half the mileage has been run on the magneto, which has given satisfactory results. The contact points have remained in good condition. Slight pulsations can be felt on the controls when running on magneto.

AUTOVAC LOP. F.56295.& EHOTS FILTER.- The autovac has supplied sufficient petrol but causes misfires when in operation. Sand was found both in the autovac and in the filter at the finish of the mileage when examined. Slight pieces of fluff was found on the filter of the autovac.

FLYWHEEL & CLUTCH LOP. G.51601. HEAVY TYPE FLYWHEEL FITTED TO SUIT CRANKSHAFT E.55117. BELL RACE HOUSING E.52327.- There has been no trouble with the clutch throughout the test. Engagement of the clutch is smooth and there has been no signs of slipping. It has been rather slow in stopping when disengaged, but not more than normal for 20-HP cars. NO adjustment has been needed.

PEDALS LOP. F.54143 'D' TYPE USING F.55985 BRAKE & CLUTCH PEDAL SHAFT &C.- Bearings of the pedals are in good condition. Lubrication appears to be O.K.

STEERING COLUMN & BOX LOP. F.54863 'D' TYPE USING F.53626 ROCKING LEVER F.53625 PENDULUM LEVER F.55627 BALL END PINS TO SUIT CENTRALISED LUBRICATION.- The steering column has been very steady, the supports being O.K. The box has been very free from any oil leaks. It has not been necessary to add any oil throughout the test. We cannot detect any wear having taken place. Lubrication of the pendulum lever was too excessive during the first portion of the test. The bijur supplying this was reduced and reported upon. Lubrication has since been ample. The steering of the car generally is very selective. Joggles of the wheel have increased due to uneven wear of the tyres and the steering generally becoming freer.

RADIATOR & FITTINGS LOP. E.55062 FITTED WITH TUBES E.55294/5.- The radiator and fittings have remained in good condition. As reported elsewhere, we have had no trouble with overheating, and very little loss of water has taken place.
