[Text Struck Through] BnS/W11.12.19. PROGRESS MEETING. Re-port for Monday, Dec. 8th., at which Mr. Bailey, Mr. Hives, Mr. Platford, Mr. Swift, Mr. Willis, Mr. Hargreaves and Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} were present. A.40/50 H.P. CHASSIS PARTS. 1. Oil Pump Casing. E.3666. The Tool Dept. requested that one of the bosses for the joint flange might be increased in depth to avoid the difficulty now experienced in facing this boss. * See End of Minutes. 2. Shock Absorber - F.7267. Top Socket. F.7287. Bottom Socket. The Tool Dept. requested that a small "Centre" might be added in the middle of the cup to facilitate the machining with the spherical tool used. It was agreed that a centre of .100 in diameter should be added. 3. Frame Fittings - F.3729/30. Brackets. The Tool Office requested the following alterations:- ".050 Rad. on Sec. A.B. altered to .200. Also limit + 10 - 20 on .100 dim. for thickness of web altered to + 15. Dim. .150 for thickness of flange altered to .225. Dia. of small boss altered from 1.300 ± 30 to 1.400. Tool Office request." These alterations are found desirable to facilitate stamping and to avoid excessive deterioration of dies. These alterations were agreed. 4. Front Shock Absorber - F.7261. Ball End Stud. The Tool Office requested that the under-cut between the end of the thread and the taper portion be increased to .100. This was agreed providing the change was effected without reducing the number of threads engaged in the nut. 5. Main Switch fitted to Dash Board. (Sec.7260.) The Design Office requested alterations in connection with an altered design of Baseplate. As the present scheme is giving satisfaction it was considered undesirable to incorporate this modification.
