NEWARK-ON-TRENT.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of F.O.Hickling Esq.

With reference to your letter, FOH/AD 25.1.37, we agree and regret, that the modification made on our revised print F61355 is still not in line with the general requirements.

We believe that the print of our Drawing F61281, which was sent to you originally, gave the dimension in question as 1.3376 ± 0.002 and that this was subsequently altered by telephone message and confirmed by your letter reference RE/HF {H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} 8th October 1936, to 1.3396 - 0.002.

This latter dimension is equivalent to 1.3416 plus 0.000 minus 0.004. We, therefore, assume that in your letter of 25.1.37 the figure 1.3411 was intended to be 1.3416.

We enclose a further print of our F61355 on which the dimension is 1.3396 ± 0.002, which we believe to be identical with that on the original roller. Will you please scrap previous prints F61355.

We hope that, after an examination of your records, you will be able to agree with the above.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
