I note what you say regarding E.R.Hall.
I think we probably value his good-will for after the War, but if you think he has been unreasonable and as I know we have been very generous to him, I do not think we must give way to him altogether.

I propose asking him to call and see me again and I will tell him you will be quite happy about my meeting him - and perhaps I will arrange to meet him up to half way.

In regard to the two boat engines, I notethat you have no particular use for the Phantom III engine at the moment and, as a matter of fact, because there are so few Phantom IIIs on the road nowadays, I do not think we are short of these spares, so that if we take this back from him we are again meeting him substantially.
I note you can use the 25/30 h.p. engine on a transport car; also that you would like to have the Phantom III at Derby to check over the non-standard parts. Of course, he having bought the engine there is no reason why we should take it back because the use he was going to put it to is now non-existent, but it rather appears we shall not be able to get out of this in view of the present position, namely that we have told him we will.
