Thank you for C6/C 23.9.41. I think I have, at different times, given you the complete story of our negotiations with E.R. Hall over his last T.T. Chassis. You probably value his post-war goodwill at more than £103. in which case, it would be good policy to cancel the account. I hope he has learned his lesson, because he was not very reasonable over this particular transaction.

With regard to the two boat engines, I think at the price which he paid for them they are both a very good buy. I have no particular use for the Phantom III engine at the moment but it might be valuable for spares or for use as a spare engine at Hythe Road. The 25/30 we can use immediately on our transport cars. If you purchase the P.III we had better have it at Derby to check over non-standard parts.
