re Sequence Starter Motors.

The recent trouble which results in the destruction of the starter ring teeth on P.II. chassis appears to have been brought about by the effect of the teazer torque requiring earlier engagement of the main switch than is desirable for safety.

This and our experience with shock and noise on experimental J.III and Peregrine chassis with the sequence motor all point to the desirability of reducing the teazer torque and increasing the end pull of the teazer winding.

Experiments should be made to measure each of these quantities with spring balances on our own motor and the Bosch to see how the Bosch system of teazer winding compares.
