846 To Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK. c. to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK.3/JH.2.3.39. 2.B.50. The above car has had the front road springs changed as follows - On the O.S. is fitted FB.3947 a B.50 spring, poundage 900. On the N.S. is fitted FB.3826 a B.V. spring poundage 800. The static deflection obtained from these springs are as follows - O.S.F. 135 lb/in. = 6.7" U.L., 7.0"L. N.S.F. 121 lb/in. = 6.65" U.L., 7.0"L. This indicates that we still have not got the static deflection we desire inspite of the fact that the spring loads are considerably in excess of the supposed spring poundages.
