Secret. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X5310 BY4/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 9. 3. 25. "INDIA". FOUR SPEED BOX. X5310 I attach hereto your copy of AJS1/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} I. 3. 25. Since the torsionally free first and second speed pinions are satisfactory in service, and do not work out, I propose to incorporate the improvement at some future point, and not to make it one of the essential features of the first 'India' chassis. My intention is to bring it in at the commencement of 'G' Series, which would make 170 chassis with the present second motion shaft, but fitted up with torsionally free pinions, for which we have received CJ's consent. If you are in agreement with the foregoing, will you kindly see me at once. /not BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
