X 677 Licenses for cars using trade numbers - 1923 (red plates). Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} Mr. He. Fey. D/L11/E30.12.22. (a) General Trade licenses (£25 each). (b) Limited (£ 5 each). Please say what quantity you will require for 1923 of each kind of the above. The conditions applicable to both (a) and (b) are shown below in brief, and where the matter is typed across the page it is applicable to both kinds of licenses. (a) (b). ARTICLE A.{Mr Adams} - A manufacturer, repairer, or dealer in mechanically propelled vehicles can obtain a general trade license in respect of all vehicles used by him. ARTICLE D (i) - A general or limited trade license shall not be used on any vehicle other than which is in our possession in the urse of our business as manufacturers, repairers, or dealers mechanically propelled vehicles. ARTICLE D (ii) - A general or limited trade license shall not at any time be used on a vehicle which is used for the conveyance of passengers for profit or reward. ARTICLE D (iv) - Subject to D (i) and (ii) a vehicle may be used upon a public road for any purposes connected with the business of a manufacturer, repairers, or dealer, so long as such vehicle is bona fide being used for such purpose. The holder of the license shall not by reason only that some other or further use is being made of the vehicle be deemed to commit a breach of the regulations. (CONTD). [Stamp: RECEIVED] | ||
